....YOU SHALL NOT BE MOVED...
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. Psa. 46:5
Knowing who God is in nature, power, greatness and goodness, it is impossible to fathom why any child of God should be afraid talk less of entertaining fear in His presence. Verse 2 and 3 of the above chapter, paints a very confident picture of somebody fully awar
e of divine presence.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. Psa. 46:2-3
Can you imagine the level of commotion and fear that will grip humanity if the earth is removed and the mountains trouble the sea with great swellings? Will you not fear? Verse 7 and 11 emphasize that the Lord of hosts is with us and the God of Jacob is our Refuge. What an amazing confidence of Divine presence.
David said in Psa. 23:4, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Jeremiah said, “But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.” (Jer. 20:11)
It is more of a choice than feelings to recognize God’s presence with you. It is a matter of faith to believe that Jesus meant it when He said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Fear dominates and torments the minds and hearts of people that refuse to recognize divine presence.
The world system is designed to make us accept fear as a norm, inevitable and part of human chemistry. It is common to hear people justify why fear is necessary or find medical names for anxiety. Some simply worship fear while some use it as a coping mechanism. While others in trying to avoid fear will rather lay down for evil and compromise.
Fear is a spirit (2Tim. 1:7), that possesses the mind and heart that is focused on obstacles, negativity, evil etc Some of the shows you watch on TV or the stuff you read in books intrinsically program our mind and heart to receive fear or to be possessed by fear whenever any ugly event or situation comes our way.
Beloved if you will not take your eyes of Jesus, it doesn’t matter the wind blowing or the storm around you. The disciples were afraid while Jesus was sleeping. How could they have imagined that Jesus will drown? Someone should have just taken His pillow and lay down beside Him but rather they woke Him up for fear and what they got was a rebuke. (Mk.4 :35-41)
Dear friend, celebrate and confess His presence in and with you, (John 14:17) and fear will dissipate. God is in the midst of you, there is absolutely no need for you to be afraid or entertain fear.
Your life is hid with Christ in God; you shall not be moved in Christ Jesus Name.
